Question 1

What is YouTube Downloader 94 and is it free?

Accepted Answer

YouTube Downloader 94 is a web-based tool that downloads public YouTube Shorts and videos as MP4, their sound as MP3, and their thumbnails. It's free, with no account or subscription. To keep it fast for everyone there is a fair-use limit of about 30 links per minute per visitor.

Question 2

Do I need to log in or install an app?

Accepted Answer

No. You never need a Google account, password or app. Paste the link of a public Short or video and the download options appear.

Question 3

What quality do I get?

Accepted Answer

Shorts come in up to 1080p Full HD (1080 × 1920) as MP4 with sound. Longer videos come in up to 1080p as MP4, and in 1440p or 4K as WebM when YouTube has them.

Question 4

Why does each download take a few seconds?

Accepted Answer

YouTube keeps picture and sound separately, so our server joins them into one file for you. It doesn't re-encode anything, so a Short is usually ready in a few seconds.

Question 5

How do I download YouTube Shorts on iPhone / iPad?

Accepted Answer

No. YouTube only shows those to signed-in users with access, and YouTube Downloader 94 never signs in. Live streams can be downloaded after they end.

Question 8

Are watermarks added?

Accepted Answer

No. YouTube Downloader 94 delivers YouTube's own video and sound, with nothing added.

Question 9

Do you store my downloaded files or link history?

Accepted Answer

We don't keep a library of videos. The files our server prepares are kept for up to 24 hours so repeat downloads are instant, then deleted. We keep a basic usage log (IP address, country, device type and which video was requested) to prevent abuse and see how the service is used. IP addresses are deleted after 90 days.

Question 10

Is it legal to download YouTube videos?
